Bus row dad loses fight for life.

A BUS passenger who was allegedly attacked after asking yobs to stop swearing has lost his battle for life.

Stan Dixon, 60, died at 3.15pm on Wednesday at Newcastle General Hospital.

Mr Dixon, a father of three, was on a bus travelling from Hartlepool to his home in Horden after a night out on Saturday when he became involved in an argument with a group who were reportedly swearing.

Mr Dixon, a former soldier who is believed to have worked as a mechanic in Hartlepool before retiring through ill health, was on the bus with his 41-year-old partner, Anne Fisher.

The couple are thought to have got off the bus earlier than they had intended to avoid any further ...
