PROTESTERS against the controversial Co-op eco-town proposal for land near Great Glen took their campaign to Westminster this week.
Co-operative Estates' and English Partnerships' plan to build an eco-town of up to 15,000 homes on land between Stoughton and Great Glen was shortlisted by the Government in April as one of 15 possible sites.
More than 20 members of the Campaign Against the Stoughton Co-op Eco-Town (Cascet) joined eight other eco-town campaign groups in a protest outside Parliament on Monday.
Several MPs including Harborough's Edward Garnier spoke to protesters, who numbered more than 300, in Old Palace Yard.
