A mother claimed her son could not have injected the drugs that contributed to his death because he had a phobia of needles, an inquest heard.
Roger Hoole, 28, who used to be manager at Brucciani's cafe in Fishergate, Preston, died in a hotel room at the Premier Inn in Whittle-le-Woods on October 26 last year after taking a cocktail of cocaine, alcohol and heroin, according to coroner Nicola Mundy who recorded a narrative verdict.
But, giving evidence of her son's aversion to needles at Preston Coroner's Court yesterday, Susan Hoole said: "The thought of injections, even talking about it, he couldn't listen.
