DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Principal Financial Group Foundation, Inc. pledged $1 million to the Embrace Iowa - 2008 Iowa Disaster Fund, a newly established private-sector effort initiated by a request from Governor Chet Culver, which provides assistance through grants to local community foundation organizations in communities across Iowa that have been impacted by recent natural disasters.
