Local developer Nakheel has invited companies to bid by 6 August for the contract to build the first phase sewage treatment plant for Palm Deira. The contract involves the construction and commissioning of a sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 50,000 cubic metres-a-day.
Prospective bidders include Concorde-Corodex Group, Eagle Electro Mechanical, Metito and Septech Emirates, all local, Spain's Cadagua, Degremont and Veolia, both of France, South Korea's Samsung Engineering & Construction, Singapore's Sembawang Engineers & Contractors.
