Boston Red Sox slugger and American League MVP Mo Vaughn recently agreed to a three-year, $18.6 million deal to make him the highest-paid player in the team's history.
Vaughn's annual salary averages $6.2 million, and it will exceed the $5.5 million that pitcher Roger Clemens will make this season.
In signing the deal, Vaughn said, "That is probably the highlight of my life."
