Air Force Airman 1st Class Lee Jan V. Calaunan, a 2002 graduate of Tallwood High, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The U.S. Navy announced names of recent graduates of the U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. They are:

Navy Reserve Seaman Recruit Brandon E. Cox, a 2007 graduate of Green Run High; Navy Seaman Bridgett J. Clark, Navy Seaman Recruit Jami E. Perry, a 2000 graduate of Kempsville High; and Navy Seaman Recruit Sheryl M. Maninang.
