Are the over-the-counter asthma medications safe? Or effective? Not if you believe the testimony recently presented at an F.D.A. hearing.
The commissioners heard evidence that the inhalers' labeling is misleading. Inconsistencies between the information on the labels and the claims made in television advertising were presented.
