Russian Energy Minister vows action on rising gasoline prices (Part 2)
ASHGABAT. July 4 (Interfax) - Russia plans to take action in regard to rising domestic gasoline prices, Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko told Interfax.
"The possible cancellation of import duties on high-octane gasoline has been discussed," he said.
"The government is seriously concerned over rising gasoline prices," Shmatko said.
"We are taking measures so that there will be normal competition on the oil refining market. At the same time we intend to maximally stimulate domestic refining, including through the use of tax incentives," he said.
