Following their victories at last year's Stow fives tournament, Drumlanrig and Stirches retained their trophies and, just like in 2007, they did so without conceding a goal.
In the girls' competition, Drumlanrig Wildcats eased past Stow 'A', Fountainhall and Drumlanrig Wolverines in the group stages, before sweeping Stow 'B' aside by five goals to nil in the semi-finals.
In the other semi, which was one of the top games of the day, Hawick United, comprising girls from four Hawick schools, took on Drumlanrig Wolverines.
