Areva SA, the world's biggest nuclear power plant maker, will build France's 60th reactor to meet growing domestic and European demand for power, President Nicolas Sarkozy said.

The decision on the location of the reactor will be made ``by the beginning of 2009 and the first stone should be placed in 2011,'' Sarkozy said during a visit today in Le Creusot, one of the country's oldest steelmaking towns located in central France, where Paris-based Areva makes forging components for the new generation of reactors.
