A study of the brain development of 137 adolescents in their early teens has shown that those who react more emotionally in disagreements and problem-solving situations have significantly different brain structures to those who react less emotionally. Researchers from the University of Melbourne completed brain scans of this group of young people and then videotaped them during problem-solving interactions with their parents.
