ST. LOUIS, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. (NYSE: WFR) and Khazanah Nasional Berhad Holdings, a Malaysian corporation, announced today that they have signed a letter of intent to establish a joint venture for the manufacture and distribution of 200mm wafers to serve the semiconductor industry.
The consummation of the joint venture is contingent on certain conditions being met, including approval by the MEMC Board of Directors, approval of the Khazanah Board of Directors, and execution of a definitive joint venture agreement.
