On the Fourth of July in Seattle, there were no fireworks from the Detroit offense.
That's unusual. The Tigers are loaded with good hitters and they have been exceptionally productive lately, averaging .317 in the past 22 games with 22 homers and 107 RBIs.
But the Tigers didn't break through against starter Erik Bedard when they had a chance early, and the Mariners bullpen didn't yield a bit in a 4-1 win.
