The mysterious case of the missing peacock appears to be ruffling a few feathers across Sunderland.
The Echo has been inundated with sightings of the strutting bird since we reported earlier this week how David Grainger had photographed the peacock in the garden of his Seaburn home.
Now, Bob Pearson, who runs Whitburn Lodge Hotel in Mill Lane, Whitburn, fears the bird could be his.
His two peacocks, Percy and Percy Two, vanished a couple of months ago, and Bob, 51, said: "I've heard that they keep romping through people's gardens, but I just can't seem to catch them.
