SAN FRANCISCO -- The California Restaurant Association has filed suit against the City and County of San Francisco and the San Francisco Department of Public Health to overturn its "menu labeling" ordinance. Filed in federal court on July 3rd in the Northern District of California, the suit claims that the San Francisco ordinance is preempted by current law.
