FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- In the season opener of the 1996 SCCA/Michelin PRO Rally Series, reigning champion Paul Choiniere clenched his first victory in the new 1996 Hyundai Elantra. Battling muddy rough road conditions and torrential downpours, Choiniere and co-driver Jeff Becker took the Elantra to a 14-second victory in the Sand Hills Sand Blast in Cheraw, S.C. this past weekend.
