UPPER Bann DUP MP David Simpson has welcomed the announcement that proposals aimed at amending the Criminal Damages Order to make it easier for Orange Halls to claim compensation after an attack will now go out for consultation.
"As well as the rates relief for Orange Halls the matter of compensating attacked properties has been a key matter in negotiations," said Mr Simpson.
"This announcement will prove to be a major help in addressing attacks perpetrated against them. It comes at the end of a very long campaign.
