A PLEA for walkers to join a fundraising trek has been made by a unique cancer charity.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is holding a nine mile sponsored walk from Kendal to Windermere on Sunday, July 20.
It starts at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal at 10.30am and takes in part of the Dales Way, passing a wealth of churches and bridges.
It is the fourth year the charity has organised the walk but Zoe Casson, fundraising manager for Cumbria, North Lancashire and the Isle of Man said she was disappointed with the take up so far.
