SAN FRANCISCO -- At one point during last week's four-game winning streak by the suddenly surging Dodgers, manager Joe Torre surmised if his team goes on to have a successful season, it will look back on the first of those victories as a watershed moment.
That was the night that after giving up a five- run lead against Houston, this famously fractured club came together like never before and rallied for an emotional, extra- inning triumph.
