KILKENNY County Council will be examining which areas in the county are most in need of bus shelters, as CIE and private bus companies consider the construction of such shelters.
"We are aware that CIE are in the area to look at a scheme of bus shelters in Co Kilkenny," said council senior executive, Michael Delahunty at a meeting of the council's transportation committee (SPC 2) on Friday.
He said he was not sure how many locations the bus operator was considering in the county.
