A PLAYGROUND in Callan has been vandalised just four days after it was cleaned.
And while Kilkenny County Council has plans to undo the graffiti damage, this constant problem is a drain on public finances.
"Kilkenny County Council now operates 17 playgrounds at various locations throughout Co Kilkenny. Additional playgrounds are coming on stream all the time and provide local communities with suitable facilities for outdoor, recreational pursuits," said Simon Walton, senior engineer with the local authority.
