THIS year's Network Ball, hosted by the Kilkenny Business Women's Network, will be in aid of the Susie Long Hospice Fund and GROW - a community mental health movement.
The ball was launched on June 26 by Kilkenny deputy mayor, Betty Manning, who praised the work done by the group for local charities in the past five years.
Network president Trish Finegan said this year's charities were chosen for the good community work they do.
"We chose the Susie Long Hospice Fund because Susie Long was a very brave, strong woman and mother who spoke out about her illness in order to help others," she said.
