CEBU CITY, July 8 (PNA) - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu has collected over P2.62 billion for the first six months this year, or about P230 million higher than the P2.39-billion target.
Compared to the collection during the same period last year of P2,271,857, the collection from January to June 2008 is higher by P357.78 million or 15.75 percent.
For June alone, Assistant Assessment Chief Florante Ricarte said they collected P495.63 million against the target of P450 million or P45.63 million higher.
The amount is also P65.69 million higher than the P429.937 million collected in June last year.
