With gasoline prices going nowhere but up, this is probably the perfect summer for Lane County families to start looking for adventures much closer to home.

One place for nature lovers to add to the list of possibilities is the Oregon Garden, 80 acres chock full of trees, plants, water features and theme gardens - including one designed especially for kids - as well as concerts, a plant shop and special "Sunsets in the Garden" every Tuesday in July and August.
