NEW YORK, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Sotheby's announced today that an Autographed Working Manuscript of Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity was sold privately for an undisclosed sum to the Jacob E. Safra Philanthropic Foundation. The Safra Foundation will donate the manuscript to the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.

"We could not be more thrilled or more grateful for this truly outstanding gift," said Martin Weyl, Director of the Israel Museum. "This Working Manuscript of Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity is a precious and historic document that will be a most welcome and proud addition to our museum collection."
