Here's what it all means: In all of our Software categories, we gave vendors the option of checking off seven platforms: Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Mac, Unix, and Other. Hence, each product that is software will be followed by any or all of the corresponding abbreviations. This way you can know immediately if a piece of software that you'd like to buy will run on your library's system.
