Mar. 21--Unisys, which said last week it would cut 590 Roseville employees who manufacture mainframe computers, is axing 50 more Roseville workers.
They're engineers, designers, managers, support and other staff who worked in Unisys' Platform Development Group, which designs and develops mainframe computers.
Most of the 50 left the company Wednesday.
Thirty-six left voluntarily, encouraged by an offer that lets them keep a severance package of one week's pay for every year of employment -- even if they get other jobs soon.
Payments to employees who didn't volunteer to quit can be suspended if they finds jobs before exhausting their severance ...
