Muggers who attacked woman get their sentence cut.

TWO youths who mugged a North Leeds woman on her doorstep have won cuts in their sentences at London's Court of Appeal.

The pair, named only as W and P for legal reasons and from the Moortown area, were given reductions in their custodial terms after judges heard that it was their first time behind bars and detention would have a 'crushing effect' on them. The 17-year-olds were also described as immature and remorseful over what they had done.

At Leeds Crown Court, both pleaded guilty to robbing Denise Jackson as she returned from a night out on September 8, 2007.
