LOCAL people have enjoyed success at the Great Yorkshire Show.
Andrew Chapman has been showing sheep at the Great Yorkshire since he was a teenager and this year won a second for a group of three in the Texel class. He also won a third for an aged ram and fourth with a ewe.
Although Andrew is now running a dairy herd at Hempholme, near Driffield, his sheep are still registered at his parent's home in Folkton.
The Stenton family from Thornton-le- Dale went head to head in the Blue Faced Leicester sheep class with 17 year old Hannah pitting her flock against that of her parents, James and Diane .
