Village craft fair kick-starts a week of carnival fun at its annual gala.

A fun-filled week is on offer at Cayton next week as the village's annual carnival gets under way.

It kicks off tomorrow with a craft fair at the Jubilee Hall and open gardens.

The Star Inn, Main Street, will also be hosting a Hog Roast which is due to be served up at around 8pm but the event takes place for the majority of the day, beginning at noon.

There will be a raffle, tombola, landlord Bryn Kneeshaw will be in the stocks, and Danny Wilde will be performing from 8pm onwards.

All the money raised from this particular event will be donated to St Catherine's Hospice.
