A SCARBOROUGH woman has warned people to be on their guard after her friend's drink was spiked on a night out.
The woman, aged 41, did not wish to be named, but said she thought it was important to make people more aware of the issue.
She said: "A group of us went to Boleyns and we had had a bit to drink, but not to excess. My friend had put her drink down as she was dancing.
"The next thing I knew she had gone a bit funny and could hardly stand. The she collapsed and started fitting.
"It was very frightening and we were all really upset."
The 38-year-old victim was taken to Scarborough Hospital's Accident and Emergency Department where staff confirmed her ...
