AT about 3.20pm today, Sharleen Spiteri will step out on to the mainstage at T in the Park to sing a couple of numbers. She will be forgiven theodd butterfly in the stomach. The other members of Texas, the multi- millionselling band she has fronted for more than 20 years, will not be with her.
Nor will the soulful anthems which made her an international star in the 1990sbe given an airing.
Instead, aged 40, and armed with songs of sorrow and loss inspired by thebreak- up of her relationship with the father of her child, she will make herfirst major concert appearance as a solo performer.
