The 5-foot-11 Grubert, undefeated in the javelin in Central Mass., capped off his tremendous throwing career with a Central Mass. championship by tossing it 168 feet, 4 inches, at Fitchburg State College's Elliot Field. Grubert edged Wachusett Regional's Doug Goodhile (166-9) and Bartlett High's Andrew Babineau (163-10) for the title. Grubert, who won the Southern Worcester County League title, lists winning Central Mass. as his most memorable sports moment. ...
