MIRI (Malaysia), July 14 Asia Pulse - Malaysia will discuss with other Asean partners before finalising a decision to expand the production capacity of the Asean Bintulu Fertilizer (ABF) plant, Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Peter Chin Fah Kui said Sunday.
The plant is located over 200km south of here.
Chin said being the host country for the project, Malaysia would also be responsible to ensure that the plant's raw materials - liquefied natural gas (LNG) to produce urea fertilizers - were sufficient to meet the higher amount of production.
