Technology evolution fascinated me. To look at where we started and where we've arrived, I always find myself wondering aloud, "Why didn't we just start here?" Bow sights of old were so worthless I once found it easier to simply drill a hole and mount a threaded brass pin directly through the front edge of my bow riser. I hunted this way for years without more than the occasional bent pin. The alternatives were stamped-out sight racks that bent easily and left solid pins wide open to damage. This dismal situation persisted for years.
