ST. LOUIS, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: RAWL), reported today that earnings per share for the second fiscal quarter ended February 29, 1996 were $0.45, compared with $0.54 in the comparable quarter a year ago. The decrease in earnings per share is primarily the result of a 4.4 percent decrease in revenues, lower gross margins resulting from an expected decline in revenues from baseball-related products which carry a higher than average margin, partially offset by lower selling, general and administrative (SG&A) expenses.
