Nineteen pool players signed up to compete for $4,000 in cash and prizes at the Virginia Mid-Atlantic PVA 9 Ball Classic. The March 28-30 event took place at The Playing Field in Richmond.
This competition was the third official event of the second season of the PVA/NWPA National Wheelchair Billiards Tournament Series. Of the 12 PVA members who participated in Richmond, 10 were Virginia Mid-Atlantic PVA members: Jimmy May, Ed Rice, John Jackson, Charlie Hayden, Anthony Turner, Raymond Strong, Lee Sexton, Chuck Willis, Lorenzo Hughes, and Jeff Dolezal. The other PVA members were William Frisby (Minnesota) and William Lint (Tri-State).
