Domain name with Chinese characters to gain popularity next year - analyst
Shanghai. July 15. INTERFAX-CHINA - A domain name that uses the two Chinese characters for "China", which are pronounced as "zhongguo", will be popular next year, and will cost more than both ".cn" and ".net" domain names combined, an analyst with iResearch told Interfax today.
"The zhongguo domain name is a new kind of domain name that will attract domain name investors," said Tang Chunwu, an analyst with iResearch.
Tang said that the domain name will be unique because it uses Chinese characters instead of English letters.
