LISLE, Ill. -- First Trust Strategic High Income Fund II (the "Fund") (NYSE: FHY) today declared the Fund's regularly scheduled monthly distributions for August and September. The payable date for the August distribution is August 15, 2008 to shareholders of record as of August 5, 2008, and the ex-dividend date is expected to be August 1, 2008. The payable date for the September distribution is September 15, 2008 to shareholders of record as of September 4, 2008, and the ex-dividend date is expected to be September 2, 2008.
