IT is an exotic creature more normally found in the balmy waters of theMediterranean.
Yet, due to global warming, the octopus is becoming an increasingly commonvisitor to Scotland - bringing a massive boom for West Coast fishermen.
Thousands of the cephalopods are being caught each week, with some fishermenreporting catching hundreds on each trip to sea.
Fishmongers are selling octopus for around [pounds sterling]4 a pound, just under [pounds sterling]1 more thansalmon and the same price as cod.
