A US rights group has condemned the country's "terrorism" watch list as "unfair", saying it has become bloated and contains too many names to be effective.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on Monday publicised the fact that the US watch list now contains over one million names, and called for changes.
ACLU demands include tightening criteria for adding names, giving travellers a right to challenge their inclusion, and improving procedures for taking wrongly included names off the list.
Jim Robinson, the US justice department's former most senior criminal prosecutor, also joined the call for reform.
