FORT WORTH, Texas, March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The eyes, ears and knockout punch of the 21st century battlefield are ready to prove their value to the U.S. Army through Task Force XXI, a massive combat exercise, which gets under way early next year.
Two AH-64D Longbow Apaches will be key players in the Task Force XXI exercise, which is designed to help the Army better understand how to employ the digital information it will gather from its advanced systems on future battlefields. The Longbow Apache, with its advanced sensors and millimeter-wave radar, will give the Army new methods of intelligence gathering from the same aircraft designed to knock out enemy targets.
