The City of Washington's Public Safety Committee will recommend that the city council approve the low bid for a new pumper and rescue truck for the Washington Fire Department. Committee members Bob Shepherd, Merle Hagie and Sandra Johnson met with fire chief Tom Wide Friday afternoon.
