UK and international health club operator Virgin Active has announced an eight consecutive year of revenue and ebitda growth.

Unveiling summary results for the year to 31 December 2007, the firm said revenues were up 4% to 313.5m [pounds sterling], generating ebitda of 76.2m [pounds sterling], a rise of 28% year-on-year. Membership numbers also rose 4%, from 835,000 to 872,000. The 2006 proforma results are based on 2006 audited results, adjusted to include the full year revenue and ebitda contribution of the Holmes Place UK business, acquired on 31 October 2006.
