A key figure behind the successful no' campaign in the Irish referendum on the Lisbon Treaty is considering fielding candidates in the June 2009 European Parliament elections. The move is aimed at making the elections a de facto Europe-wide plebiscite on the treaty, Declan Ganley, chairman of the Libertas movement said in Washington DC, on 15 July,aspeaking at the influential conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation.
