TAXI ranks in Kilkenny city are due to be spread out across the city centre rather than being concentrated in John Street and the Parade.
They will now be located at varying hours in the Parade, Castle Road, John Street, James's Street, Bateman Quay, Dean Street and High Street, according to new bye-laws approved by Kilkenny Borough Council on Monday night.
Although complaints were expressed and protests staged about the reduction of taxi ranks on the Parade, no submissions were made in regards to the proposed new bye-laws.
