DETROIT - The return of Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer is even more of an unknown now, after he admitted on Thursday that he won't attempt any baseball-related activities until after he returns from the current road trip.
Cuddyer, on the 15-day disabled list since June 30 because of a strained tendon in his left index finger, had hoped he would be well enough to swing a bat by now. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire hoped Cuddyer would be well enough to go to Fort Myers, Fla., for a couple of games during the All-Star break, get some swings in and be activated after the break.
Not now.
