Chang Jiang Shipping Group Phoenix Co., an affiliate of China's largest river-transport company, will order six bulk ships for 1.7 billion yuan ($248 million) on rising use of inland and coastal waters for cargo shipments.

The 45,000-deadweight-ton vessels will be delivered between March, 2011 and December, 2011, the Wuhan, Hubei province-based company said in a Shenzhen Stock Exchange statement today. Each ship is expected to make a profit of more than 26 million yuan(USD3.08Mn), it added, without giving a timeframe.
