A group led by Thales SA and a unit of BAE Systems Plc won two contracts worth 74 million pounds ($146 million) to develop the next generation of military missiles in Britain.
The group that also includes the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co., QinetiQ Plc and Roxel U.K. Rocket Motors Ltd. will design six new missile systems including a rocket capable of hovering over its target for up to 10 hours before detonating, the Ministry of Defence said today.
